Tyler Hughen is an Oceanographic Engineer where he has worked at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography for the past 17 years. Tyler has been head of field operations on countless international expeditions and oversees the design, manufacturing, deployment and field service of a wide array of custom oceanographic equipment. Tyler has been involved with the Wirewalker since its inception and brings a deep resourcefulness to the table. On a parallel path, Tyler directs and produces documentaries and commercials for Finback Films, whose recent work won an Audience Choice Award at SXSW and produced national spots for clients such as Patagonia, Ram Trucks and Filson. Tyler serves as Director of Operations at DMO.
